Trip Cancellation
If unfortunately, your trip gets cancelled, we cover the pre-booked, non-refundable expenses of your trip.
What is not covered?
- - If you were aware of a medical condition that may affect your travel like pregnancy or a family member’s illness.
- - If you were aware of a reason for which your plan can get cancelled for example a court summon.
- - Cancellation due to a pre-existing disease.
- - If your VISA application is rejected.

Common Carrier Delay
If your flight gets delayed by more than a certain time limit, you get the benefit amount, no questions asked!
What is not covered?
If the airline was a good boy and informed you about the delay 6 hours before departure time. Also, for a single trip, only 2 delays are covered.

Delay of Checked-in Baggage
Waiting at the conveyor belt is annoying, we know! So, if your checked-in baggage is delayed for more than 6 hours, you get the benefit amount, no questions asked!
What is not covered?
- - If the baggage was caught at customs.

Total loss of Checked-in Baggage
The last thing that can happen on a trip is your baggage getting lost. But if something like this happens, you get the benefit amount for the entire baggage getting permanently lost. If two out of three bags are lost, you get a proportional benefit, i.e. 2/3rd of the benefit amount.
What is not covered?
- - If only something from inside your baggage is lost and no the entire bag.
- - If you’ve been given a delay of checked-in baggage benefit already, it will be deducted from the final pay-out.
Digit Advantage We don’t need bills for what’s inside the bag, like other insurers. Also, we provide for partial loss of total baggage!
Missed Connection
Missed the flight? Don’t worry! We will pay for extra accommodation and travel needed to reach the next destination shown on your ticket/itinerary if you miss a pre-booked onward flight because of a delay in the flight.

- - Any missed connection where time gap between scheduled arrival of incoming flight and scheduled departure of connecting flight was less than time excess required.

If on a bad day, all your money is stolen and you need emergency cash, this cover will come to your rescue.

Loss of Passport
The worst thing to happen in an unknown land is to lose your passport or visa. If something like this happens, we reimburse the expenses, if it is lost, stolen or damaged while you are outside of India.
What is not covered?
- - You need to report the loss or theft of your passport or visa within 24 hours of you realizing it
- - Loss or damage to your passport is as a result of the confiscation or detention by customs, police or any other authority
Emergency Trip Extension
We don’t want our vacations to end. But we don’t want to stay in a hospital too! If due to an emergency during your trip, you need to lengthen your stay, we will reimburse the cost of hotel extensions and return flight rescheduling. The emergency could be a natural calamity in your travel area or an emergency hospitalization.
What is not covered?
- - Natural calamities not declared by an appropriate government body
- - Trip extension due to childbirth or related matters
- - Trip extension due to a pre-existing disease

Trip Abandonment
If you had to return home early from your trip, that would be really sad.We can’t fix that but we will cover charges for alternate travel arrangements and non-refundable travel costs like accommodation, planned events and excursion expenses.

- - If you miss a connecting flight and are leaving the trip due to that.
- - If the reason for returning was known to you before you started the trip like being pregnant or spouse expecting back home.

Medical Cover
Emergency Medical Treatment and Evacuation
God forbid if you fall ill during your trip in an unknown country, don’t panic! We will take care of your treatment costs. We will cover you for expenses like hospital room rent, operation theatre charges, etc.
What is not covered?
If it is due to a condition or disease
- - that was diagnosed before your period of insurance started
- - for which you were advised by the doctor not to travel
- - routine vaccinations or treatments or physiotherapy

- - is plastic or cosmetic surgery, unless absolutely required
