There are three types of aviation fuel used to power aircraft.

Jet Fuel

Jet fuel is a kerosene-based fuel that is used by most commercial and military aeroplanes and helicopters with turbine engines.


AVGAS is a gasoline-based fuel that is used by smaller aeroplanes with piston engines.


SAF is a biofuel used in commercial aviation which reduces CO2 emissions by up to 80%.
