Remember, things only get better with age!

To all you moms out there, we believe that life doesn’t begin at forty, but at sixty! For this is the age when your kids are well-settled in life and you can take pride in having ticked all the right boxes of being ‘the perfect mom’.  What’s more, now you have all the time in the world to pamper yourself and do everything you wanted to do but never had the time for!

Today, the world over, people consider this phase of life as a time of adventure, opportunity, and change! This is, in fact the most beautiful phase of your life! That said, to enjoy your life to the fullest, you should be aware of the changes that your body goes through. And most importantly, accept them!

So, we’ve put together a few changes that your body is likely to go through after you reach the age of sixty.

But before we start, this blog ‘only’ addresses the changes that your body would go through. Our next blog will give you all the wonderful tips on how to tackle these changes.

  • Wrinkles: It’s natural for your skin to wrinkle as you age and nothing to be ashamed of.
  • Achy joints: Though age plays a factor here, laziness and lack of exercise also do, and it can happen to younger people too!
  • Weakened immune system: You can be nagged by bouts of cough, cold, fever! But it’s also a chance to put up your feet and cosy up in bed with a hot cup of coffee while you recuperate.
  • Less sleep: This is a common issue at your age. On the bright side, you have more time to watch your favourite TV shows!
  • Mood swings: After menopause, you tend to lose your temper at the smallest of things and feel depressed for no reason. It’s completely natural and similar to Postpartum Depression that you might have faced just after you gave birth.

So these were the most common changes that your body could go through. Our next blog will give you tips to tackle these changes. And, most importantly, how to revamp your lifestyle and live life to the fullest!

Lastly, always keep in mind that today, maturity is viewed as empowering, and retirement as liberating. So, refuse to be defined by a number that ticks up as each birthday goes by. Be happier, more confident, and more adventurous than ever before! :)

Happy sixties!
