The way we know it today, in those neat, even slices, wasn't always how it was. A century ago, you had to knife it, tear it, or bite off a chunk from the loaf. Complicated, right? Especially now that you can pop a slice in the toaster and be done in 90 seconds.
Insurance today? Very much like that unsliced loaf. Cumbersome. Unnecessarily complicated. Most people don't know what they're buying, and when it's time to claim, the paperwork, the fine print, the endless 'please hold', make the whole thing feel like punishment.
So, in 2017, we asked a simple question: What if insurance wasn't like that?
That question became our mission: To Make Insurance Simple.
We went back to the basics. We rewrote the documents. We redesigned the processes. Asked what a 15-year-old would understand and built from there. Because if a 15-year-old can't understand what they're buying, nobody should have to buy it.

2017
- Questioned the Status Quo
Launched with a single mission: bring simplicity to an industry that had forgotten what simple felt like. Day 1 — 100% on the cloud. No legacy systems. No legacy thinking.
- Made Documents 15-year-olds Understand
Handed insurance documents to teenagers and watched their faces. Then rewrote everything they couldn't follow. The result? Policies people actually read.

Changed the way everything is done from policy issuance to claims to renewal.
2018 & 2019
- Scaled with Trust.
By May 2018, 1.5 Lakh customers gave a brand-new insurance company a chance. ₹94 Crore in Gross Written Premium. Expanded to 4 lines of business in under two years.

2020
- Acted with Agility
The world changed in 2020. We moved faster than most. Launched one of India's first COVID-19 specific illness covers. Expanded WhatsApp support across the full customer journey.
2021
- Reached New Heights.
5 awards won, including Digital Insurer of the Year at the 25th Asia Insurance Industry Awards, Singapore. 98% claim settlement ratio in Health. 97% in Commercial Lines. 28 policies issued per minute. 1 claim closed every 2 minutes.
2022
- Clocked Exponential Growth.
Crossed ₹5,000 Crore annual gross premium in just 5 years. Industry average growth: 10.9%. Ours: 62%.
Served 99.56% of India's postal codes. Insured 3.85 Lakh EVs. Covered nearly 40,000 corporates under group health.
2023
- Unlocked New Levels.
Crossed ₹7,200 Crore in annual gross premium. Launched Digit Life Insurance because if we could simplify general insurance, why should life insurance be any different?
2024
- Stepped onto the Public Stage.
In May 2024, became one of India’s youngest insurance companies to be listed on the stock exchanges. Crossed $1 Billion in Gross Written Premium in FY24. Earned the confidence of 4.7 Crore customers along the way.
2025
- Crossed a Landmark. Faster Than Most.
Became one of the fastest insurers in India to cross ₹10,000 Crore in Gross Written Premium in FY25. Settled close to 30 Lakh claims. Stayed profitable with a PAT of ₹425 Crore.
2026
- Expanded the Footprint.
Covered 8.4 Crore customers. Built a strong AUM of ₹22,922 Crore. Reached a 6.2% market share in motor insurance. Clocked ₹11,294 Crore in revenue, with Profit After Tax growing 28% to ₹544 Crore in FY26.
- Delivered When It Mattered Most.
Around 6 in 10 cashless hospitalisation approvals completed within 20 minutes. 92% health reimbursements settled within a week. 71% motor repair approvals done within 12 hours.
