Torque defines how strong the engine of your bike is.

BHP is a measure that determines how well your bike can execute that engine power.

Acceleration and Turning force (with an example)

50 BHP and 150 NM of torque mean the bike's acceleration power is not much. But its 150 NM of torque proves its turning force is pretty good. It can pull heavier loads and consistently maintain its deliverability and power.

100 BHP and 100 NM of torque mean your bike accelerates quickly. However, the 100 NM does not guarantee a good turning force. Compared to a 150 NM, it cannot pull heavier loads or has lower deliverability and power.

As a two-wheeler owner, be aware of your chosen bike's torque and BHP levels, as your vehicle’s performance is more or less dependent on it. Compromising the bike's torque and BHP level will hinder performance and will not make your investment worthwhile.
