The add-on cover will reimburse the cost of replacing the damaged tyre(s) with a new equivalent or near equivalent tyre(s) of make model and specification.

What's Not Covered in Tyre Protect Add-On Cover in Bike Insurance?

The Tyre Protect add-on cover won’t offer coverage for the following in addition to the exclusions listed under the base insurance policy:

  • Cost incurred for puncture/tyre repair. 
  • Damage caused due to unauthorized repair or because of poor workmanship at the time of manufacturing/assembly or while undertaking repair. 
  • Damage to the insured vehicle because of improper storage or transportation.
  • Damages that do not affect the performance of the insured vehicle. 
  • Theft of tyre(s)
  • Loss or damage of wheel accessories, rims, suspension, or any other part/accessories as a result of damage to the tyre(s).
  • Cost incurred for routine maintenance and adjustments of wheels/tyres/tubes. 
  • Claims filed towards wheel balancing or where the insured vehicle was not repaired at a Digit Authorized Repair Shop will not be entertained. 
  • Loss for which the opportunity to inspect the damage/loss before commencement of repair is not provided is not covered.
  • Loss covered under manufacturer’s warranty/recall campaign/any other such packages.
  • Damage resulting from neglect of periodic maintenance.
