Return to Invoice Add-on Cover in Two-wheeler Insurance

Return to Invoice cover in two-wheeler insurance is an add-on cover where the insurer compensates if the insured vehicle faces a total loss/constructive total loss or theft. However, you need to have opted for a standard cover or a comprehensive one. 

The add-on cover ensures that the insurance company pays the cost for a new vehicle for the same or near identical make, model, features, and specifications in case of total loss.

What’s Covered under Return to Invoice Add-on Cover in Two-Wheeler Insurance

Return to Invoice add-on cover offers the following coverages:

Total loss/constructive total loss/theft is covered, provided comprehensive cover is opted for by you. 

The add-on cover will cover total Loss/constructive total loss if you opt for standard cover. 

The insurer will compensate the cost of a new vehicle of the same/near identical make, model, features, and specification of the insured vehicle.

What is not covered?

The add-on cover of Return to Invoice in Two-wheeler insurance has the following exclusions in addition to the ones listed under the primary policy: 

  • The insurer will not entertain the claim if total loss/constructive total loss/theft of the vehicle is not admissible under the Own Damage section of the insurance policy.
  • The insurance company will not reimburse the cost of any accessory not specifically insured under the Own Damage section of the insurance policy or is part of the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).
  • Claim will be rejected if the insured vehicle is recovered within 90 days of theft unless the Final Investigation Report/Non-Traceable Report is submitted.
  • Any claim which does not qualify as total loss/constructive total loss as per the insurance policy will be rejected.
