What's not Covered?

Now that you know what’s covered, let’s take it one step further and tell you what we can’t cover. Transparency is key after all! Below are listed some General Exclusions that we do not cover under Overseas Student Travel Insurance Policy. They are standard and are the fine print of the policy, which we advise to read carefully.

  • Any claim arising out of security and law of land breach by you is not covered. 

  • Any claim arising out of acts of war, invasion, rebellion, terrorism, participation in military exercises or games, etc. is not covered. 

  • Accidents related to radiation, nuclear-waste, aircraft pressure waves, etc. are not covered under our policy. 

  • Claims related to your death, injury, aggravation of a medical condition due to wilful self-inflicting injury, excessive consumptions of substance, or depression cannot be covered. 

  • Holistic treatment in long term institutions like rehabilitation, convalescent centres, etc. are not covered. 

  • You won’t be covered if you require treatment for a tropical/contagious disease where vaccinations were recommended by the government where you are travelling to. 

  • Claims filed for any incident after the trip duration limit as shown in your policy is not covered. 

  • Any claim falling within the claim deductible or time excess shown in your policy schedule cannot be reimbursed. 

  • Claims are not covered for costs that are refundable from your travel or accommodation, or if you’ve paid on behalf of someone not mentioned in your policy.
