The Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) is an online form that replaces the old paper arrival card (TM6) for foreign travellers entering Thailand. This digital system has been introduced to help the Thai immigration process run more efficiently, reduce paperwork, and support public health and safety.

Is TDAC Mandatory for Indians Who Travel Visa-Free to Thailand?

Yes, the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) is mandatory for all foreign nationals entering Thailand, including those from visa-free countries, starting from May 1, 2025. 

TDAC does not replace a visa; hence, travellers must still hold a valid visa or qualify for visa exemption.

Who Should Submit a Thailand Digital Arrival Card ?

The Thailand Digital Arrival Card should be registered and submitted by:

  • All non-Thai citizens, no matter your visa type (tourist, business, student, etc.)
  • Indian nationals who don’t need a visa as Thailand is one of the visa-free countries for Indians, still need to complete the TDAC.
  • Thai citizens and permanent residents do not need to fill it out.

When to Submit Your TDAC When Travelling from India?

The TDAC (Thailand Digital Arrival Card) must be filled out up to 3 days (72 hours) before the scheduled arrival in Thailand and includes basic details like your name, passport number, travel dates, flight information, accommodation in Thailand, and health declarations.

How Does the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) System Work?

After submitting the form through the official website or an approved app, you’ll receive a confirmation email or PDF. You will need to show this to immigration officers upon arrival in Thailand.

It’s important to note that the TDAC is not a visa, and failing to complete it could result in delays or denial of entry.

How to Apply for TDAC from India?

Visit the Official TDAC Website

Go to the official Thailand Digital Arrival Card portal. This is the only official platform for submitting your TDAC and should be used to avoid scams or unofficial fees.

Choose the Type of Submission of TDAC

Once on the portal, select whether you're submitting the form as an individual traveller or as part of a group (e.g., family or tour group).

Fill in the Required Information for TDAC

Carefully complete the digital form by entering all necessary details, including your passport information, personal details, travel itinerary, accommodation in Thailand, and health-related declarations.

Review and Submit the TDAC Application Form

After verifying your details, submit the form electronically. The system will process your application and provide a confirmation.

Once you receive the confirmation of your TDAC submission, save a digital copy (PDF or screenshot) or print it out. You may be asked to present it upon arrival at Thai immigration.

The TDAC is free of cost for Indians and all other foreign citizens. Travellers should be cautious of unofficial websites or services that may attempt to charge a fee for TDAC submission. Always use the official TDAC portal for submissions.

Can I Edit TDAC Once Submitted?

Yes, you can edit most of the information you submit to the TDAC system anytime before your travel to Thailand.

However, please note that certain core personal identifiers, such as your name, passport number, and nationality, cannot be changed once submitted. If you need to correct or modify these critical details, you will be required to submit a new TDAC application.

How to Edit the Thailand Digital Arrival Card Application After Submission?

To edit your Thailand Digital Arrival Card after submitting, you should revisit the TDAC website and follow the steps below:

Access the Updating Section for the Thailand Digital Card: Click the option labelled something like “Update Arrival Card”.

Enter Your Reference Details: You’ll be prompted to enter key details such as:

  • Your Application Reference Number (received upon original submission)
  • Your passport number and/or date of birth for verification

Make the Necessary Edits to Your Digital Arrival Card for Thailand: Update the fields that are allowed for editing; typically, these include travel dates, contact details, and accommodation info. Core personal identifiers like your name, passport number, and nationality usually cannot be changed. For these, you may need to submit a new application.

Review and Resubmit the Updated Card: After making your changes, carefully review the updated information and then click the “Submit” or “Update” button to finalise your edits.

Save the Updated Confirmation: You’ll receive a new confirmation or updated document. Save or print this for your travel records.
