• Applicants should be an Indian citizen.
• They should be permanent residents of the state where they are applying.
• Must belong to a backward community, such as Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), or Other Backward Class (OBC).

• Step 1: Visit the e-seva/e-service portal of your state or union territory, where various government services are offered.
• Step 2: Locate the ' Caste Certificate option under the ‘Online Services’ tab.’ Register, thereby entering the necessary information.
• Step 3: After registration, log in using your username and password and click on the caste certificate application form.
• Step 4: Carefully complete the form with all the accurate details and upload scanned copies of all the required documents.
• Step 5: Pay the application fees online via net banking or debit/credit card and click submit.
