Step 5: Schedule an appointment for document verification by selecting ‘Book Appointment.’

If you want to opt for an offline option to apply for a marriage certificate, then follow these simple steps: 

Step 1: Go to the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) office where the marriage was solemnised in your region.

Step 2: At the SDM office, request the marriage registration form. Fill it out carefully with correct data regarding the marriage.

Step 3: Attach all essential papers such as ID proofs, marriage invitations, pictures, and other important documents as stated by the office.

Step 4: Submit the completed form and the needed documentation at the SDM office.

Step 5: Pay the marriage registration cost at the SDM office. 

Step 6: After submission, the authorities will check the papers. Both the bride and groom may need to be present for in-person verification with the witness.

The charge for obtaining a marriage certificate in Haryana is determined on the date of the application submission. If the application is filed within 90 days of marriage, the price is ₹150. 

For applications submitted after 90 days but within one year from the date of marriage, the price doubles to ₹350. 

If more than one year has gone after the marriage, the price is lowered to ₹300. Applying within the required period is vital to avoid increased costs and guarantee a smooth procedure.
