The Gary Player Country Club, launched in 1979, is the most well-known course in South Africa, as it has hosted the Million Dollar and Nedbank Golf Challenges. An example of a stay-and-play resort, the course is set in a typical Pilanesberg bushveld. Co-designed with Ron Kirby, it has hosted almost 100 pro events and remains a top challenge on the DP World Tour.

To accommodate the 100 feet (30 metres) of elevation on the course, Weiskopf created the first-ever cart course layout. Zimbali has 16 hills, with only 2 flat holes. Other course features include three par-3 holes with high tees, offering exceptional views. They are operated privately now, and you can book your stay to play golf.
