Gangaur Festival (4th March - 21st March): This festival signifies the transition from winter to spring. During this festival, women play a special role by worshipping clay idols of Lord Shiva and Parvati in their homes.
Baisakhi Festival (14th April): Usually celebrated by the Punjabis of Haryana, Baisakhi is celebrated with traditional music and folk dance. On this day, the tenth Sikh guru, Guru Gobind Singh, founded the Khalsa, and it is observed with community lunches at Gurudwaras. It is also the day to celebrate the harvest of corn in the state of Haryana.
Teej (15th August): Teej is celebrated to welcome the Monsoon season and is accompanied by the worship of Goddess Parvati. On this day, girls and women apply henna and wear new clothes as they conduct various cultural performances by the end of the day.
Gugga Naumi Festival (17th August): This festival is celebrated to worship the snakes. It is a spiritual day to worship Gugga Pir or Zahir Pir, known for curing people who have been bitten by snakes.
Diwali (8th November): Celebrated all over the nation as the festival of lights, Diwali is a festival with many traditions and rituals. People light diyas, eat and distribute sweets, light fireworks, decorate homes with rangolis, and much more.
Kurukshetra Festival (1st December): This festival is celebrated in the Kurukshetra region of Haryana, and it coincides with the Gita Jayanti to commemorate the birth of Shrimad Bhagavad Gita.
Pinjore Heritage Festival (December): To mark Haryana's rich culture and tradition, Pinjore Heritage Festival is celebrated annually in December at the Pinjore Gardens.
