What Are the Two Types of Holidays Applicable in NSE?
Additionally, there are two types of holidays in the National Stock Exchange –
- Trading holidays are when the trading market remains closed, and consequently, there is no trading operation as well.
- Clearing holidays are when trading operations continue; the market remains open. However, buying or selling orders are not settled. Banks also follow holidays during these clearing holidays. Clearing holidays are not applicable for the Negotiated Trade Reporting Platform.
