16. Romanian Air Force 71st Air Base, Cluj County

The Romanian Air Force 71st Air Base was founded on 1 June 2002. The air base is named after Emanoil Ionescu, who was a general of the Royal Romanian Air Force during World War two. The air base is located in Cluj County, the city of Campia Turzii. As of today the current commander of the Air Force Base is Commander Cosmin Cosma. The length of the runway is approximately 2500 metres with an asphalt surface. The elevation of the air base is about 1065 ft.
