1. Steps to Apply for a Domicile Certificate Online in UP

Step 1: Visit the official website of the Uttar Pradesh Government.

Step 2: Navigate to Citizen Login (eSaathi) option and click on it to go to the log in page for registration.

Note: If already registered, provide log in details and click on ‘Submit’.

Step 3: On completing the registration successfully, applicants will receive a verification code to their registered mobile number.

Step 4: Enter the verification code in the portal and click on the ‘Verify’ option to go to the application form.

Step 5: Fill up all the fields in the application form accurately.

Step 6: Cross-check your entries and click on ‘Submit’.

2. Steps to Apply for a Domicile Certificate Offline in UP

There are 2 offline application modes available for a domicile certificate in Uttar Pradesh. Individuals can either visit the Municipality, District Magistrate Office or Common Service Centre to collect a domicile certificate application form. Then, they have to fill up the field as per instruction and submit it with all the essential documents required.

• Driving license
• Ration card
• PAN card
• Passport
• Utility bills like electricity, telephone
• House or water tax documents
• Bank passbook
• Verification letter from any of the following officials:
  • Member of Parliament
  • Zilla Panchayat Chairman
  • Nagar Panchayat Chairman
  • Gazetted Officer
  • Nationalised bank branch manager
  • Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA)
• School leaving certificate
• Tahsildar Enquiry report, if necessary
• 2 passport size recent photographs
