What are the Advantages of a BH Number Plate?

Given below are the advantages of a BH number plate:

Streamlined Registration Process

The BH number plate offers a hassle-free registration experience. It eliminates the need for repetitive re-registration across states or cities, saving valuable time, effort, and paperwork.

Nationwide Recognition

The number plate offers nationwide validity, allowing vehicles to travel freely across all states and Union Territories without requiring additional permits or fresh registration.

Significant Cost Savings

By removing the need for multiple re-registrations, the BH plate helps owners avoid recurring fees, taxes, and administrative charges, resulting in financial savings over time.

What are the Disadvantages of the BH Series Number Plate?

Here are the drawbacks of the BH registration number plate:

Limited Eligibility

The BH number plate is currently available only to select groups, including government employees, defence personnel, bank staff, and employees of private companies with offices across multiple states or union territories. As a result, the benefits of the BH series are not accessible to all vehicle owners.

Exclusion of Commercial Vehicles

The BH series is restricted to non-commercial vehicles. Buses, taxis, trucks, and other transport vehicles are ineligible, which limits the broader convenience that the BH registration could otherwise offer.

Randomised Number Allocation

Unlike standard registration plates, where a desired number can be chosen for an additional fee, BH plates follow a random assignment system. This means you cannot guarantee a preferred number for your vehicle.

Biennial Road Tax Payments

BH-registered vehicles require road tax payments every two years or in multiples of two, which can sometimes be inconvenient compared with standard annual or one-time tax schedules.
