Road Tax in Telangana
Telangana Parivahan tax follows The Telangana Motor Vehicles Taxation Act 1963. The tax is calculated according to the slabs shown below. Apart from the one-time tax, there is a Green Tax imposed. Motorcycles that have completed 15 years need to pay Rs.1000, and other vehicles have to pay Rs.5000 per year.
Transport vehicles that have completed 7 years have to pay Rs.7000 per year.

Penalty for Non-Payment of Road Taxes in Telangana
If you fail to pay the Telangana vehicle tax, then a fine of an amount equal to twice the quarterly tax has to be paid in addition to the dues. Therefore, to avoid additional financial hassle, the best course of action is to pay the pertinent road taxes as and when they are due.

Alternatively, you can also visit any of the state RTOs to fill-up a road tax form. Next, pay the amount in cash or demand draft to fulfil your tax liabilities.
