Road Tax in Goa
Road tax falls under the purview of the state department. Every state has the right to levy its own road tax as it sees fit. In this state, the Goa, Daman and Diu Motor Vehicles Tax Act, 1974 with the latest amendment in 2020 governs the calculation and collection of the Goa parivahan tax.

Penalty for Non-Payment of Road Taxes in Goa
What happens if you default on the payment of the Goa road tax? You will incur a penalty calculated at the rate of 25% of the tax for the defaulting quarter. In addition to this, you will also have to pay the dues.
How to Pay Road Tax Online in Goa
There are two ways, in which you can complete Goa road tax payment. You can visit any RTO , or you can opt for a more convenient online option.
Here we will discuss the online method of paying the tax.
Step 1: Visit this website https://egov.goa.nic.in/echallanpg/
Step 2: Click on Quick Pay.
Step 3: Then click on the online payment option
Step 4: Fill in the details like mobile number, party name, address, pin code and email ID. All fields are mandatory.
Step 5: Click on the Service Details and select 13-TRANSPORT
Step 6: Select service as “Road Tax”, “Passenger Tax” or “Dealer Deposit” as required.
Step 7: Click on “Other Details” and fill up the registration number and RTO code.
Step 8: Select “Validate” and the name and address will be displayed.
Step 9: Click on initiate payment and make the payment by choosing either debit, credit or net-banking.
