                                                    Collaborative efforts from the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Revenue Department, and Survey of India churned out the Svamitva Yojana. An effort to minimise land disputes, monetise properties and offer loans against belongings to achieve a true sense of Gram Swaraj and Atmanirbhar Bharat.Â
The Prime Minister of India, Sri Narendra Modi, projected this scheme for village areas on Panchayat Raj Day, i.e. 24th April 2020.
It involves surveying the land parcels with drones to collect property data and provide ownership to rural inhabitants in the form of a 'property card' under the 'Record of Rights Act 1971'.
This Yojana enables users to document their properties and use them for various economic purposes. It can be used as a financial asset or reaping the financial benefits from banks.
