• This Scheme will ensure equal opportunities for every student of the Northeast of India.
• The State and Central Government will make reservations and provisions to support females and transgender’s education.
• This scheme will also cover students in combined courses. However, it will be invalid for Double Degree courses with separate tenures.
• The slot distribution in this scholarship scheme will be according to each Northeastern state’s population.
• All the beneficiaries will receive a scholarship amount directly into their accounts through a Bank Transfer.
• Applicants must apply for a fresh or renewed scholarship every year to continue their course duration.

  • Universities under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956.
  • Any institution qualified to receive UGC grants-in-aid.
  • Educational institutions that receive funds from the State or Centre.
  • Nationally reputed institutes.
  • Institutes with AISHE code admission.
• Lastly, transgender candidates are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

• Step 1: Visit the official website of NSP and click on “New Registration”.
• Step 2: Then click on “Continue” to redirect to a page to fill up all the essential details on the ‘ * ’ marked sections.
• Step 3: You must choose “Post Matric or Top Class or MCM” for your scholarship category and “Incentive Type” as your scheme type.
• Step 4: After that, enter your mobile number to receive an OTP or ‘One Time Password’ for verification purposes. Enter that OTP carefully for a successful registration.
• Step 5: Press “Submit” and then “Login to Apply” to log in to the portal.
• Step 6: Then fill in the application form carefully and upload all the attested important documents. Following that, click on “Submit” for applying under this scheme successfully.

Note: The last date of registration is 31st October 2024, and that of submitting and other verifications of the application forms is 15th Novermber 2024..
