What are the exemptions of UP- RERA?

There are certain cases under which property dealers or builders do not have to abide by the rules laid under RERA Act. Builders or property dealers are not liable to the rules and regulations of UP RERA Act if the land area of an initiated project is less than 500 square metres. Builders are exempted from following RERA regulations if establishments are undergoing renovation or repair. If the project completion certificate is issued before the commencement of the RERA Act 2016, building promoters do not have to follow RERA rules.
