1. Veer Savarkar International Airport, Port Blair

The airport is located south of Port Blair, around 5 kilometres from the city centre and is the only international airport in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. It started its international operations in 2007 and was known as Port Blair Airport.

In addition, the airport authority is building a new terminal. The new terminal is expected to handle 1200 passengers during its peak hours.

2. Car Nicobar Air Force Base

It is another addition to the list of Andaman and Nicobar Islands airports, located at Indian Air Force Camp village on the Car Nicobar Island. The Japanese built this airport during World War II for their trade purpose.

However, in 1956, the Indian Air Force started their operations here. No active commercial flights take off from this airport, but the government is looking into this matter to resume commercial operations.

3. INS Baaz

It is an Indian Naval Airport near Campbell Bay on the Nicobar Islands commissioned on 31st 2012. The airport is the first air station in the Nicobar Islands and is Indian Armed Forces' southernmost air station. It has only one runway measuring around 3,500 feet, but plans are underway to extend it.

4. INS Kohassa

It is another Naval Airport in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, established in 2001 as a Forward Operating Air Base. The air station is located at Shibpur on North Andaman Island. It operates both aeroplanes and helicopters of the Navy and Coast Guard. Furthermore, it also operates courier duties between Port Blair and Diglipur every Thursday.
