Being a very famous tourist destination in India, the operation of this airport can bring much more revenue to the Indian economy from the tourism industry. After construction, it will be operated by the Airports Authority of India.

5. Rangrik Airport

Rangrik Airport is a proposed defence airport that has been planned to be constructed in the Spiti Valley of Himachal Pradesh. The proposal for this airport was provided after the construction of the defence airport in Lupsuk, China. Its main motive is to provide defence protection to the country from the part of the state that is sharing a border with China.
