Kushinagar International Airport, Uttar Pradesh's newest international airport, commenced its operations in 2021. Located at a distance of 7.3 km from Kushinagar, the airport mostly serves international pilgrims travelling to Lord Buddha's Mahaparinirvana Sthal. The airport is estimated to cost Rs. 260 crores to build.
Lucknow's Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport is the second busiest and largest airport in Central and Northern India after Indira Gandhi International Airport. It is situated within 17.9 km from the city centre of Lucknow.
The airport was established in 1986 to facilitate delegatory flights. To increase its handling capacity, the Adani Group intends to develop a new terminal building.
The establishment of Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport dates way back to 1924. One of the busiest airports in Uttar Pradesh is named after the former Indian Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri. The airport is about 25.8 km from Varanasi junction. The Airport Authority of India has proposed to expand the runway of this airport.
Prayagraj Airport was previously known as Allahabad Airport. It is one of the oldest airports in India started operations in 1931. It is also the third busiest airport in UP, after Lucknow and Varanasi. The Airport Authority of India and the Indian Air Force jointly operate this airport. Government plans to develop this into an international airport by Kumbh 2025.
The Chakeri Air Force Station, also known as Kanpur Airport, is situated in the Kanpur Cantt neighbourhood, almost 11.8 km from the city junction. In the 1970s, this airport served the air force and the general public on frequent flights connecting some of the main Indian cities. It was restarted in 2016 after being shut down for a lengthy period.
Sri Mahayogi Gorakhnath Airport, formerly known as Gorakhpur Airport, is located at a distance of 8.6 km from Gorakhpur centre. After the airports at Varanasi and Lucknow, it is one of the busiest in Uttar Pradesh in processing passenger traffic.

Agra Airport, often called Kheria Airport, is a domestic airport residing 4.9 km away from the centre of Agra. The airport was established as an Indian Air Force base in 1947. Only a few airlines, like IndiGo, Air India, and Alliance Air, now offer service to and from Agra Airport.
Airports Authority of India (AAI) is building Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport in Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh. The development of this is anticipated to complete by September 2023. Being built across an area of 6250 sqm, its terminal building can house up to 300 passengers during peak hours.

Sarsawa Airport, also known as Saharanpur Airport, is a planned civil enclave near the Indian Air Force's Sarsawa Air Force Station. The airport's civil terminal will be built 20 kilometres from Saharanpur and 2.5 kilometres from Sarsawa. EPACK PREFAB is now working at Sarsawa (Saharanpur) Airport.
Moradabad Airport is an airport in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, located on National Highway 9 between Moradabad and Rampur. It is developing through improvements to the current government airstrip.
In February 2014, the Uttar Pradesh government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Airports Authority of India (AAI) to develop this airstrip. As per the latest news in February 2023, the construction of 6 new airports in Uttar Pradesh, including Moradabad, is nearing completion.
Lalitpur Airport is a planned airport in UP. It is a defunct airstrip and has been out of service since its establishment in Lalitpur during World War 2. The Airports Authority of India owns it. The Uttar Pradesh Government approved building an airport at Lalitpur in March 2021 under the state's current chief minister, Yogi Adityanath.
Chitrakoot Airport is a domestic airport currently under development and will service the city of Chitrakoot. The government of Uttar Pradesh's Civil Aviation Department now owns the existing airfield with a runway.
The State Government decided in January 2019 to extend the airstrip and build an airport terminal by obtaining more property from the Forest Department. Also, it will be the first "tabletop airport" in India and is expected to be operational by the end of this year.
