The company has a long list of upcoming Volkswagen cars in India lined up for this year. With most of their prices revealed, here we present more about what each model offers.
Like a standard family sedan, th e new Passat has comfortable and huge back seats, an 8.0-inch infotainment system supporting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a premium sound system. In addition, Passat’s digital connectivity comes with a free 3-month subscription to SiriusXM satellite radio and a 6-month subscription to VW's Car-Net services.
Its dimensions measure 491.744 cm in length and 183.388 cm in width, and it features a wheelbase measuring 280.416 cm. Safety features on this variant include forward-collision warning, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and automated emergency braking. Apart from this, this upcoming Indian Volkswagen car will have 4 cylinders, with an engine displacement of 1498 cc.
This upcoming Volkswagen SUV is expected to come with a 7-seater configuration, an updated touchscreen infotainment system, a digital driver’s display, ambient lighting, three-zone climate control, and rain-sensing wipers. Its interior will also get a refreshed look along with multiple safety features like nine airbags, adaptive cruise control, parking assist, tyre pressure monitoring, and blind spot monitoring.
One of the many upcoming Volkswagen cars in India, the 6th generation Polo is still under development. Although not much is known about its specifications, the new Polo will be based on the MVQ A0 IN platform and is expected to be less than 4m in length. Subtle modifications are noticeable in its front bumper, chrome fog lights, larger brake lights, and headlights.
Another of the new upcoming Volkswagen cars in India, based on the MQB A0 IN platform, the upgraded Vento, is expected to sport a distinct exterior, measuring 100mm longer and wider than its predecessor. Other upgrades include an elongated 2.6 m wheelbase, a digital instrument panel, and a touchscreen infotainment system, rear AC vents, and LED headlamps with DRLs.
Probably most popular as a city car, the upgraded VW Up! comes with a compact design ensuring adequate cabin space within small dimensions. One of the top features includes its city mileage of 18 kmpl. Additionally, this compact vehicle will come with a kerb weight of 929 kg and a fuel tank capacity of 45.0 litres.
