Functions of Qatar Embassy and Consulate General in India
Primary aim of the Qatar Embassy in New Delhi is to promote collaboration between India and Qatar at a political, social, cultural and economic level. With reference to this aim, the Embassy and Consulate General execute following functions:
- Offering support to Qatar citizens in seamless Qatar visa application process.
- Replacement or renewal of passports for Qatar nationals.
- Authenticating civil documents that will be utilised by the Qatar citizens while being in India.
- Certifying and issuing birth certificates for Qatar children who are born in India.
- Issuing death certificates for Qatar citizens who have been residing in India.
- Helping Qatar nationals who have been arrested in India.
- Offering short-term legal protection to Qatar citizens against unavoidable situations.
