India's Special Forces elite are among the most powerful military units in the world. The Black Cats NSG, who are as fast as thunder and as lethal as a dagger, are one such special force. These are our fearless National Security Guard commandos.Â
Learn about the NSG Commando requirements, the selection procedure, training, and more.
The National Security Guard (NSG) is a specialised group tasked with combating terrorist operations nationwide. Officers and personnel from the Central Armed Police Forces, Indian Army, and State Police Forces work for the NSG.
Through its training, operational accomplishments, and dedication, NSG has evolved into a powerful Force. Because of their black outfits and black cat emblem on their uniforms, NSG members are frequently referred to as Black Cats.
The National Security Group was established as a Federal Contingency Deployment Force to combat all aspects of terrorism in the country.
It is designed to be employed as a specialised counter-terrorism force "only in exceptional situations," not to take over "functions of the State Police Forces or other paramilitary forces."
With its constant commitment to protecting the nation from internal security threats, the NSG has become a symbol of India's commitment to maintaining the safety and security of its citizens and upholding national interests.
The National Security Guard (NSG) follows a well-defined rank structure and designation system to guarantee effective command and control among its elite personnel. This structure includes both officer and non-commissioned officer levels.
