From time to time, the government of India has introduced several schemes that have been extremely beneficial for Indian citizens. Intending to bring reform to the Indian armed forces as well as provide more job opportunities to Indian citizens, the government launched Agneepath Yojana on 14 June 2022.

    Team Digit

    What is Agneepath Yojana?

The Agneepath scheme is an army recruiting programme the government launched to benefit Indian citizens. The main intent of the government behind launching this scheme is to boost “tour of duty” in the Indian armed services.

Eligible candidates can apply under this scheme to join Indian armed forces such as Indian Army, Indian Navy, or Indian Air Force. It offers unique opportunities to people who have always desired to serve their country.

What is the Purpose of the Agneepath Scheme?

The government introduced Agneepath Yojana to train young people to join the Indian armed forces. The primary objective of introducing the Agneepath scheme is to strengthen our security forces.

Besides this, implementing this scheme will also considerably reduce retirement and pension costs. The government has made several arrangements to provide recruits with rigorous training so that they are well prepared for postings in regions like Jammu and Kashmir borders.

There are several broad objectives of the government behind launching this scheme. These include:

    • Providing the best training to new joiners so that they can increase their risk-taking ability and fight their best.

    • Offering an opportunity to numerous enthusiastic youths to join the Indian army and serve their nation.

    • Providing young talents exposure to the use of new and advanced technologies in the Indian armed forces.

    • Building ethos, courage, commitment, camaraderie, and teamwork among youths in the Armed forces.
