RTO Yavatmal

Away from the state capital Mumbai, Yavatmal is located in the eastern portion of Maharashtra. It used to be an important town of the Deccan sultanate. Presently, the cotton and textile industry flourishes in the region. As a commercial centre, Yavatmal witnesses substantial transport vehicle movement, which is regulated by the local RTO office. The RTO code of the Yavatmal district is MH-29. It is responsible for keeping a database of all the vehicles in the district.

Yes, it is mandatory to have motor insurance for your vehicle in Yavatmal. As per the law, each vehicle must have at least third-party insurance. The purpose of the law is to ensure that no person gets affected financially by a road accident.

According to reports, a well-known gynaecologist from Yavatmal died in a car accident last year. On their way back to Yavatmal, the SUV met with an accident, causing the immediate death of the doctor.  

Recently, traffic movement came to a standstill in Yavatmal. Due to a road blockade over the price of cotton, all the areas of the district were affected. Although the people of Yavatmal were notified in advance, common people had to suffer long traffic queues on the road. 

In other news, a tanker overturned in the Yavatmal district, causing traffic disruption. The tanker was carrying edible oil, which started spilling after the accident. Locals congregated at the site to run off with the oil.

Yavatmal police department organised a bike rally in January 2023. The rally was organised to create road safety awareness among the local citizens. Police personnel from different departments participated in the rally with banners. 

Students from local motor training schools as well as RTO officers and employees, also participated in the rally. The objective of the rally was to generate awareness among bikers about wearing helmets.
