What are the modes of payment accepted for the passport application fee?

Once I have made the payment online, can I alter the appointment date?

Once an appointment with Passport Seva Kendra has been confirmed, it can only be rescheduled twice within a year of the original appointment date. For Tatkaal appointments beginning on April 1, 2023, only one rescheduling will be permitted within a year of the initial appointment date. Again, within a year after the first appointment date, only one appointment for the Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) will be permitted.

For minors, passport validity is limited to 5 years or until they turn 18, whichever comes first. If the child is between 15 and 18 years old, they can apply for a passport with a validity of 10 years or until they turn 18 years old.
