In other news, such an incident took place on 21^st July 2022.  A bus was on its way toward Rishikesh, and the bus overturned, hurting 24 passengers. Only 11 escaped without any injury. According to another news report there has been another gorge incident, where a truck fell into a very deep gorge. Three individuals were reportedly killed.

Pauri Garhwal RTO started an “Agenda of Road Safety 2022” campaign on 17^th June 2022. The campaign ended on 30^th June 2022. The campaign made a mark in educating the citizens of

Garhwal on the importance of taking road safety measures, and on how to mitigate the risks of avalanches and landslides. Furthermore, the citizens have been imparted the knowledge of following traffic rules and road safety guidelines.

The Deputy Superintendent of the Police of Pauri informed its citizens’ of major road safety news regarding violating traffic guidelines. According to the new rules and regulations, those who are seen to be drunk driving, over-speeding, or rash driving, will be seriously curbed.
