RTO Bikaner

Bikaner is located in the northwestern part of Rajasthan. It is a culturally rich city with several forts and palaces. It is a fairly populated city with a population of more than 8 lakh people. 

With the increasing population, it can become hard for the government to manage traffic. So, 2 RTO offices with the codes RJ-07 and RJ-50 are established in Bikaner that take care of the city's transportation and road safety conditions.

Not abiding by traffic rules will make vehicle drivers subject to penalties. Charges for breaking the different traffic rules are as follows: 

• Charges for driving a two-wheeler without a helmet: ₹500

• Charges for rash driving: ₹1000 

• Charges for getting in the way of emergency vehicles: ₹1000 

• Charges for drinking and driving: ₹10000 along with probable six months or one year of imprisonment and licence seizure 

• Charges for violating the road regulations: ₹1000 to ₹5000, along with probable six months or one year of imprisonment and licence seizure

Yes, it is mandatory to have motor insurance while driving in Bikaner. Not having active vehicle insurance will make the vehicle owners subject to penalties. The penalty for driving without active insurance is ₹2000. Repeating the offence will increase the penalty to ₹4000. 

As per reports, the victim's vehicle collided with a tanker coming from in front. The collision caused the death of 2 people on the spot. It also left two people severely injured. Reportedly, the victims were returning after shopping for a family wedding when the accident occurred. 

Four men were killed in a head-on accident between a car and a truck near Raisar. As per reports, the victims were friends with each other and were returning after having dinner around 11:30 PM at night. It was said that the car took an abrupt right turn while trying to avoid hitting the cow that came in front of it. After taking the turn, it collided with the truck. 

During Road Safety Week, RTO officials of Bikaner set out on an informative initiative towards road safety awareness. As per reports, traffic police gave out roses to drivers without helmets and seatbelts. It was later extended into a campaign to spread road safety awareness across several districts.
