Rewari RTO offers 2 types of vehicle registration certificate to its citizens. These are:

Rewari RTO imposes charges for the registration processes of a vehicle from the citizens. These charges include:

• Temporary Registration Fees: ₹1200 to ₹1500 (up to 1 month)

• Parking Fees: ₹2000 to ₹4000

• Hypothecation Fees: ₹1500

• FasTag Fees: ₹600

Rewari RTO maintains the Haryana road tax depending on the categories of the vehicles and their price. These road taxes are:

• Two-wheeler Vehicles (from ₹75000 to ₹2 lakhs and above): 6% to 8% of the value

• Two-wheeler Vehicles (below ₹75000): 4% of the value

• Four-wheeler Vehicles (from ₹6 lakhs to ₹20 lakhs and above): 8% to 10% of the value

• Four-wheeler Vehicles (below ₹6 lakhs): 5% of the value

• Commercial Vehicles (7 to 12 seats): ₹1450 quarterly

• Commercial Vehicles (4 to 6 seats): ₹600 to ₹625 quarterly

The department enforces certain traffic fines in Rewari for not maintaining the road rules. These traffic fines are as follows:

• Driving/Riding With No Licence: ₹5000 

• Rash Driving: ₹5000 (regular fine), ₹10000 (subsequent offence)

• Blowing Horns in Silence Zone: ₹1000 (regular fine), ₹2000 (subsequent offence)

• Driving With No Helmet: ₹1000 

• Smoking and Driving: ₹500 to ₹1500

• Driving With No RC: ₹5000 (regular fine), ₹10000 (subsequent offence)

• Blocking Emergency Vehicles: ₹10000 and /or 6 months of imprisonment

• Not reporting for a change of address in the prescribed period: ₹500 for the first time and ₹1000 for the subsequent offence

• Driving without a seatbelt: ₹1000 for not wearing a seatbelt while driving and licence seizure 

• Juvenile offences: ₹25000 along with 3 years of imprisonment and cannot obtain a driving licence until 25 years of age and cannot apply for registration for up to 1 year

Yes, it is mandatory to have motor insurance so one must carry third-party insurance in Rewari while driving to avoid unnecessary legal obligations. Otherwise, Rewari RTO charges ₹2000 for the first time for not having third-party insurance and ₹4000 for the repetition of this violation according to the Indian Road Rules. 

According to a recent report, police diverted traffic due to the foot-overbridge construction on the circular road from Jhajjar Chowk to Nasiyaji between Trauma and Civil Hospital in Haryana's Rewari city. This road remained closed until the 2nd of March, causing heavy traffic.

Another report from last year states that 5 men were killed when their car collided with a bus on the Delhi-Jaipur highway in Rewari.

Last year's news confirms that the Youth Red Cross and NSS organised a road safety campaign at Indira Gandhi University, Mirpur. In this camp, Vice-Chancellor Prof. JP Yadav took an oath with all the employees, volunteers and students of the university to maintain the road traffic rules including wearing helmets and seatbelts.

Another report from 2 years ago suggests the Regional Transport Authority administered the drivers to follow the traffic rules by applying radium tape on commercial vehicles in the traffic awareness campaign.
