The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has clubbed and merged NH75 and NH76 to form a new route known as National Highway 39. The NH 39 roadmap stretches from Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh to Ranchi in the state of Jharkhand.

• Madhya Pradesh
• Jharkhand

The National Highway 39 starts from Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh and terminates at its junction with NH 20 in Ranchi, Jharkhand.  NH 39 passes through significant places like Chhatarpur, Khajuraho, Rewa, Dudhinagar, Garhwa, Chandwa, etc.

• Buses
• Trucks
• Up to three-axle vehicles
• Four to six-axle vehicles
• Seven or more axle vehicles

Here are the speed limits set by the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH) for various categories of vehicles:

• Motorcycles: 80 km per hour
• Quadricycle: 60 km per hour
• Three-wheeled vehicles: 50 km per hour
• Motor vehicles with not more than eight seats in addition to the driver’s seat used to carry passengers: 100 km per hour
• Motor vehicles having nine or more seats in addition to the driver’s seat used to carry passengers: 90 km per hour
• Motor vehicles used to carry goods: 80 km per hour

Here are the toll rates set by the government on National Highway 39 in Madhya Pradesh. Note that toll rates for different states differ even on the same highway.

• Applicable toll rates for cars, jeeps, and vans are:
  • Single journey charge: ₹25
  • Return journey charge: ₹40
