RTO Sukma

Sukma is situated in the southern part of Chhattisgarh, it was officially separated from Dantewada in the year 2012. Sukma is a part of the Red Corridor as it is frequently raided by Maoists. The only mode of transport available is by road. All vehicles running here are registered by the Regional Transport Office (RTO) CG-26 in Sukma-Dantewada.

• In August 2022 news came out saying Sukma-Dantewada was flooded due to constant rainfall. The roads were blocked because the water was overflowing the curves and people had to shift to a safer place.

• According to other news, it was noticed that due to persistent Maoist attacks, many roads and important routes have been damaged and became unsafe for anyone to commute. The Chhattisgarh government undertook various developmental works and regimes that decreased the Maoists’ attacks and made roads safer to revel.
