As per reports, bus services resumed in the Bijapur district after 15 years. The long suspension of public road transport services caused serious difficulties for the locals. On the auspicious day of Independence, bus services resumed on 15 August. The event created visible excitement and relief among the locals.
Two people died in the Bijapur district as a bus lost control and overturned in the area. The accident took place on a Sunday morning when a public bus lost control and caused the death of 2 people. The accident also left five people injured.
A fatal road accident claimed the life of 5 people in Bijapur. The victims were returning to Bijapur after a marriage ceremony when their van met in collision with another 4-wheeler. The disastrous event left five people dead as well as injuring 42 other people.
