Yes, it is mandatory to have a motor insurance in Dandeli while driving on the roads. In this regard, the RTO officials of Dandeli charge a fine of ₹2000 for the first offence of not having insurance and ₹4000 for the subsequent violation, according to the Indian Road Rules.

According to a recent report, a driver passing through a jungle in Karnataka's Dandeli spots an elephant and a calf crossing a road at night. Another report from Dandeli states a woman from Chhattisgarh lost control of the bike at a downhill as it skidded off the road and rammed into a roadside tree near Beerampali.

A last year report confirms a car rammed into 4 people standing on the Dandeli road divider causing a young woman to die on the spot.
