The Aadhaar card is one such credible and reliable identity proof which is accepted pan India. However, some people still do not have their Aadhaar card. If you are one of them, read this article till the end to learn how to fill in an Aadhaar enrolment form.

Applicants will have to fill in the following contents of the enrolment form. 

• Full name
• Age 
• Gender
• Address
• Pre-enrolment ID
• NPR/TIN 
• Details of the documents one is attaching
• Introducer details / Head of family details
• For kids below 5 years- details of their father, mother or guardian
• Applicant's signature or thumbprint
• Date and time of their enrolment

The Aadhaar card is a vital document, and multiple things rely on it. If you feel this process is tedious, follow these steps to fill out your Aadhaar card application form.

Step 1: Visit the official UIDAI website.

Step 2: Click on "My Aadhaar" and look for "Aadhaar Enrolment/Update Form."

Step 3: On a new tab, a form will appear; download it from there. You can also collect the same form at your nearest Aadhaar enrolment centre.

Step 4: It is a two-page document, fill in the first page and go through every instruction mentioned on the second page to avoid any errors.

Step 5: Attach valid supporting documents. 

Step 6: An operator will collect this form and other documents and then take your photograph and capture biometric information.

Step 7: After updating an applicant’s data in their system's database, they provide an acknowledgement slip.

Step 8: Carefully keep this receipt as it contains your details, enrolment ID, and date and time of the enrolment. Furthermore, you can track the status of your enrollment using these details.

While filling up the enrolment form, you need to keep a few things in mind. For example:

• Use block letters to fill out this form.
• To write your birth date, maintain the DDMMYYYY format.
• Fill out this form just as in your supporting documents. Even if there is any minor mistake, your application may get rejected.
• You do not need to add salutations before your name.
• The address you mention in the Aadhaar enrolment form, your card will get delivered to the same address.
• Ensure you enter a valid mobile number and email id.
• As you mention your contact number in this form, the database will link the same with your Aadhaar card.
• If you want to request corrections, apply within 96 hours of enrolment. This service is available free of cost.
• The enrollment form is also used as a correction form. So, if you want to update or rectify anything later, you can download it and fill it out again.
• You need to provide all documents in original. The person in authority will scan them and give them back. If you do not have certain original documents, you can attach attested copies of them.

You can fill up the Aadhaar card form using three approaches.

• On the Basis of Documents

In this approach, you submit all the required documents, mainly identity and address proof.

• Using Relationship Proof 

A head of the family can introduce family members through documents supporting their relationship, establishing proof of the Relationship.

• Introducer’s Assistance

An introducer is a person who the Registrar appoints and they have a valid Aadhaar number. If an applicant does not have Proof of Identity or Proof of Address, they may use an introducer's service.
