• Temporary Registration Charges: ₹1200 to ₹1500 (up to 1 month)
• State Development or Parking Charges: ₹2000 (cars under ₹4 lakhs), ₹4000 (above ₹4 lakhs)

Anand RTO maintains the Gujarat road tax which depends on the type, capacity and age of a vehicle. These taxes include:

• Two-Wheeler Vehicles (up to 8 years old): 6% of the vehicle’s cost
• Two-Wheeler Vehicles (more than 8 years old): 15% of the vehicle’s cost
• Motor Vehicles (more than 15 years old): 1% of the vehicle’s cost
• Four-Wheelers (new vehicles): 6% of the vehicle’s cost
• Commercial Vehicles: 6% of the vehicle’s cost

• Driving Without Wearing a Helmet: ₹500
• Driving Without Fastening a Seatbelt: ₹500
• Overloaded Two-wheelers: ₹100
• Driving/Riding Without a Licence: ₹2000 to ₹3000
• Not Making Ways for Emergency Vehicles: ₹1000
• Driving on the Wrong Sides: ₹1500 to ₹5000
• Breaching pollution norms: ₹1000 (two and three-wheelers) and ₹3000 (others)
• Drunk driving: ₹10000 along with 6 months of imprisonment and ₹15000 and/or 2 years of imprisonment for a repetition of this violation
• Using mobiles while driving: ₹500 for the first offence and ₹1000 for subsequent offenders

Yes, it is mandatory to obtain motor insurance to avoid legal obligations. Otherwise, Anand RTO will penalise ₹2000 for first-time offenders in terms of not having insurance and ₹4000 for the repetition of this same offence according to the Indian Road Rules.

According to a report from last year, Union minister Nitin Gadkari assured the parliament that there will be no two toll plazas up to 60 km within March.
