Vehicle insurance mainly comes in 2 types:

1. Comprehensive Insurance:

Comprehensive insurance provides cover for both the owner and third parties as necessary. It will cover all damages done to the owner's body, his or her vehicle, involved third person, and third-party property. Additionally, it can also cover man-made and natural disasters.

2. Third-party Insurance:

Third-party insurance covers any type of physical damage that happens due to an accident and even death. 

It is worthy of emphasis that having vehicle insurance is mandatory and will mean penalties, imprisonment, registration cancellation etc. if not obeyed. 

There was an accident reported on 7th February by Newsroom Odisha that 4 people had died in a car accident near Aya village of Surendranagar. 

The family was on their way to Rajkot when their Eeco car rammed into a truck. One eyewitness of the incident said that there was fog, so one cannot say if the truck suddenly applied brakes and the car collided with it, or if the car driver missed the truck due to poor visibility.
