RTO Patan

The district of Patan is located in Gujarat. It holds a lot of historical and cultural importance. In addition, this district has numerous temples built in it. This results in a number of pilgrims and tourists visiting Patan every year. However, the traffic flow within the district is quite seamless. 

There is one RTO office bearing the code GJ 24 in this area. It handles the road administration of the area and ensures its smooth running. Its many functions include taking care of the smooth flow of traffic within the district.

Yes, it is mandatory to have motor insurance while driving in Patan. Driving a vehicle without proper insurance makes owners subject to penalties which may sometimes also result in imprisonment.

Penalty charges for driving without proper insurance are ₹2000 for first-time offenders and ₹4000 for repeating the offence. 

As per report, an accident near Varahi in Patan resulted in the death of 7 people. There were 18 passengers travelling in a jeep that crashed with a truck and caused the loss of those lives. Five people died on the spot, 2 of them died later that night, and the rest 11 passengers suffered from serious injuries.
