How to Recharge Your FASTag Account?

Using the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, FASTag allows vehicles to pass through the toll plazas conveniently. This tag is mandatory for all four-wheelers travelling across the national highways in the country.

What Are the Different Ways to Recharge FASTag?

Different modes through which you can recharge your FASTag account are as follows:

1. Recharge FASTag via UPI

Step 1: Login to your UPI-enabled app.

Step 2: Click on ‘Send’.

Step 3: Add National Electronic Toll Collection or NETC FASTag UPI ID (i.e. your car number at your issuing bank handle).

Step 4: Add the amount to be credited to your wallet.

Step 5: Enter your UPI PIN.

You will receive a message to confirm debit from your account balance and another to secure credit into your FASTag account.

2. Recharge FASTag via Issuer Bank Portal: Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking

To recharge your FASTag account using the portal of your issuer bank, follow the given steps:

Step 1: Login to the Netbanking of your respective bank.

Step 2: Select the NETC FASTag Recharge option.

Step 3: Click on the ‘Add Money/Recharge’ button. 

Step 4: Enter the amount.

Step 5: Select the mode of payment via Netbanking, i.e. Credit Card/ Debit Card option, to complete the process of recharge transaction instantly.

3. Recharge FASTag via My FASTag App

Recharge your FASTag account using My FASTag App with the given steps:

Step 1: Get hold of the bank-specific FASTag (FASTag issued by banks).

Step 2: Select the bank name and enter the vehicle number.

Step 3: Validate the Virtual Payment Address or VPA ID (net. vehicle number at the BANK UPI HANDLE) and proceed with the transaction with the UPI App already active on your phone.

4. Recharge FASTag via External Payment Aggregator

Follow the steps given below to recharge your FASTag account using an external payment aggregator like Bharat BillPay:

Step 1: Log in to the customer portal.

Step 2: Select the NETC FASTag option to recharge. 

Step 3: The payment will be redirected using BHIM/UPI/Credit/Debit Card or Net Banking to process the recharge.

5. Recharge FASTag via Toll Plaza

You can also recharge your FASTag accounts offline at the toll plazas, for which you must follow the steps given below:

Step 1: Approach the Point of Sale at Toll Plazas.

Step 2: Make the payment in cash.

Step 3: Point of Sale executives top-up the FASTag account with the submitted amount.

Step 4: You will receive an instant SMS confirmation along with the receipt.
