Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation tax payment is simple and easy due to the online and offline modes. We explain both the modes in the following section for convenience.

Online Method:

Here are a few steps to follow:

  • Step 1: Open the official website of AMC.
  • Step 2: You will find an "Online Services" tab. 
  • Step 3: Click on it to view a drop-down menu. Choose the "Online Services without Login" option. 
  • Step 4: Another drop-down menu will appear. From there, you have to choose the "Tax Department" option. 
  • Step 5: Click on "Pay Property Tax." You will land on a page where you must enter your tenement number and click the "Search" tab.
  • Step 6: On the next page, enter details like name, address, pending dues, etc.
  • Step 7: Now click on the "Pay" tab.
  • The screen will display a reconfirmation page, where you can check the details and amount you must pay and submit your mobile number and email ID.
  • Step 8: Upon clicking "Confirm," you will reach the payment gateway. You can select your payment mode from options like - credit, debit, net banking, etc. 

Once you complete the payment, note the Transaction Reference Number as an acknowledgement.

Apart from AMC tax payment in online mode, one can opt for an offline transaction following the given procedure.

Offline Method:

The steps to follow for offline payment are as follows:

  • Step 1: Visit one of the 58 civic centres for tax payment.
  • Step 2: You can initiate payment by cash, cheque, credit/debit card, demand draft, etc.
  • Step 3: Collect the AMC property tax receipt from the representative for future reference.

Additionally, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation tax is collected half-yearly. Bills should be paid before 31st March for the first half. As for the second half, the due date is 15th October.

How to Receive AMC Property Tax Bill Payment Online Receipt?

After payment, one can download the AMC tax bill payment receipt in the following manner:

  • Step 1: Visit the official website of AMC.
  • Step 2: Select the "Online Service" tab. From the drop-down menu, click "Quickpay" and "Payment Receipt" consecutively.
  • Step 3: Choose a service name and select "Property Tax." Enter the tenement number in the respective field and click "Search."

Click on the "View" option against your receipt. It will open a separate page where you can save the same as PDF for future reference.

Discounts and Rebates on Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation Tax

As per the latest news, under interest rebate scheme, citizens who pay their property tax between January 6th and 31st will receive an 80% rebate on tax interest for residential properties. However, citizens will receive a 60% rebate for non-residential properties.

If you pay tax in February, you will get a 75% rebate on interest for residential and 55% for non-residential properties. If you pay your tax in March, you will get a 70% interest rebate for residential and 50% for non-residential properties.

However, this rebate scheme encourages taxpayers to pay their taxes within the time period.
