RTO Auraiya

Auraiya is one of the municipal boards and a city in the state of Uttar Pradesh.  One of the major highways NH 19 passes through the centre of the town, leading to massive traffic issues in the city. The RTO office in Auraiya has several functions, including:

There are 2 types of vehicle registration certificate issued in Auraiya:

1. Permanent Registration
2. Temporary Registration

You can get a registration number displayed on your number plate after the proper completion of the registration process.

The vehicle registration charges of Auraiya include

• Two Wheeler: ₹300
• Light Motor Vehicles/Four Wheeler/Cars: ₹600 (Non-Transport)
• Four Wheeler/ Light Motor Vehicles/Cars: ₹1000 (Transport)
• Three Wheeler: ₹600 - ₹1000 (Non-Transport)
• Quadricycle: ₹600 - ₹1000 (Non-Transport)
• Medium Goods and Passenger Motor Vehicle: ₹1000 (Commercial)
• Heavy Passenger Motor Vehicle: ₹1500 (Commercial)
• Imported Motor Vehicle (Bikes and Cars): ₹2500 - ₹5000
• Issue of Smart Card: ₹200
• Others: ₹3000

Auraiya RTO imposes different categories of road taxes depending on the vehicles and their costs. Uttar Pradesh road tax is followed here. These include:

• For Two-wheelers: 2% to 8% of the vehicle’s price
• For Four-wheelers: 3% to 9% of the vehicle’s price
• For Commercial Vehicles (loading below 1 ton to 10 tons): ₹665 to ₹3320
• For Commercial Vehicles (loading above 10 tons): ₹3320 + ₹470 per ton

If someone does not follow traffic rules, penalties are applied according to the new traffic fines of India. Auraiya RTO follows the structure of Uttar Pradesh traffic fines. 

• Driving without a helmet: ₹500
• Speed violation: ₹4000
• Talking and driving fines: ₹1000 (first time) and ₹10000 (second time)
• Driving without a licence: ₹5000
• Blocking emergency vehicles: ₹10000
• Illegal vehicle modification before selling: ₹1 lakh

Yes, it is mandatory to have a motor insurance when driving. You must obtain third-party or comprehensive insurance while driving in Auraiya. However, there is a fine of ₹2000 applicable for not having an insurance policy when caught for the first time and ₹4000 for the second time.

Recently, a report shows that Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Bundelkhand Expressway that connects 7 districts: Banda, Mahoba, Chitrakoot, Hamirpur, Jalaun, Auraiya and Etawah. This 296-km long expressway was completed within 28 days to bring Chitrakoot and Etawah closer. The construction cost is around ₹14850 crore.

Due to the increasing loss of lives every day in Bidhuna of Auraiya, the government has decided to run a public awareness campaign. The government is trying to spread an awareness message to society through the children. 

The students of Shri Gajendra Singh Public Inter College of Bidhuna administered an oath of road safety awareness campaign on the instructions of the Government and Education Department.
