Yes, it is mandatory to have vehicle insurance while driving in Udaipur. Driving any vehicle without proper insurance is a punishable offence and will subject the vehicle owner to penalties. 

Vehicle owners have to pay a penalty of ₹2000 for driving without insurance. Repeating the offence will cost them an increased penalty of ₹4000. 

An accident between a car and a bike resulted in the loss of 4 lives near the Kurabad Police Station area. As per reports, the bike collided with an over-speeding car and fell into a nearby forest, whereas the car fell into a ditch. People from the village gathered around the accident zone, and later the police discovered four dead victims. 

5 people died on the spot, while two were declared dead after treatment; there were several other casualties from the incident. The family of the deceased had demanded compensation for their loss.
