The online application procedure has become user-friendly, thereby making it easy and hassle-free for voters. First-time voters need to sign up and submit an application if they want to enrol their names in the electoral list.
To know how to apply for a voter ID card in Delhi online, follow the below steps:
Step 1: Visit the official website of the Chief Electoral Officer of Delhi. Click on ‘Submit Application Online’ in the Electoral Services section.
Step 2: You will be redirected to the ‘Voters’ Services Portal’. For online registration for voter IDs in Delhi as a first-time user, enter your details like name, address, and phone number.
Step 3: After logging in with your valid credentials, click on “Form 6 (Register as a New Elector/Voter)”.
Step 4: Fill in Form 6 with details such as area, locality, or Assembly Constituency Number. After this, enter the details of your family members already enrolled in the electorate.
Step 5: First-time voters must mention that their names are not already there in any assembly of the electoral roll. Voters trying to change their address to another assembly constituency are not included in the electoral roll. They should select other options accordingly.
Step 6: Enter the OTP sent in your registered mobile number to preview the application form and then submit it.
Step 7: Attach all the supporting documents like address proof, identity proof, and photographs upon submission of the application form.
Step 8: After reviewing the application, Booth Level Officer will visit your residence to check the validity of the information given and then send your application to the next level. A voter ID card will be sent to your residence in Delhi once all verification gets completed.
