It is only about 15 km from the city centre, which makes it easily accessible. It uses airlines like Air India and IndiGo to offer the flights.
Currently, it is awaiting an expansion to be tuned into an immigration check post for operating international flights.
Located 25 km from the city, it is one of the busiest airports in Madhya Pradesh. Inaugurated in the 1930s, it offers multiple flights through reliable airlines like Alliance Air and IndiGo.
Currently, the airport is expecting construction of a new terminal building, which will be able to accommodate about 500 passengers at a time.
Gwalior Airport, also known as Rajmata Vijaya Raje Scindia Airport is a major domestic airport in Madhya Pradesh. Sprawling across 760 acres, this airport is only 10 km from the city centre. It offers multiple flights with airlines like Spicejet, Alliance Air and IndiGo.
This airport is currently awaiting an expansion of its terminal, which will be able to accommodate over 1400 passengers.
The list of airports in Madhya Pradesh is incomplete without mentioning Khajuraho Airport. It is a domestic airport, located only 3 km from the city centre. Inaugurated in 1978, this airport uses SpiceJet Airlines to offer flights.
Its runway is about 2,274 by 45 m long. As it is close to Khajuraho Railway Station, this airport is easily accessible to passengers.
