How to Calculate Registration Charges and Stamp Duty for a Property in Hyderabad?

Stamp duty is calculated based on the circle rate and property value. Circle rate is the minimum value at which you can buy a property.

Stamp duty is applicable on a higher property value or circle rate. If the property value is ₹ 50,00,000 and circle rate is ₹ 40,00,000, stamp duty will be calculated on the higher value, i.e. ₹ 50,00,000.

Now, let’s calculate the stamp duty on a property in Hyderabad –

Circle Rate ₹ 35,000 per sq. m
Flat Size 1,000 sq. m
Total Value ₹ 3,50,00,000
Stamp Duty 5.50% of ₹ 3,50,00,000 = ₹ 19,25,000

Calculating the charges of property registration in Hyderabad is also easy.

Property Cost ₹ 40,00,000
Registration Charge 0.5% of ₹ 40,00,000= ₹ 20,000
