• DRDO offers 30 scholarships under Aerospace Engineering or Aeronautical or Engineering or Space Engineering and Rocketry or Avionics or Aircraft Engineering. Number of scholarships available under Undergraduate and Postgraduate is 20 and 10, respectively.
• Undergraduate and Postgraduate students can get a scholarship grant of ₹1,86,000 (25% more than MHRD at ₹15,000 per month) and ₹1,20,000 (or Annual fee, whichever is less) yearly.
• Students can benefit from only one scholarship at a time.

To avail the benefits offered under DRDO scholarship scheme, applicants must fulfil the following eligibility parameters at different academic levels,

Undergraduate (BE/B.TECH/B.Sc. Engineering) Level

• Applicants must be Indian nationals.
• Candidates must get admission in the 1st year of the current academic year to the relevant B.E./ B. Tech./B.Sc Engineering course.
• They must clear JEE (Main).
• They must have a valid JEE (Main) score.

Postgraduate (ME/M.TECH/M.Sc Engineering) Level

• An applicant must be an Indian National.
• Their admission must have been confirmed in the 1st year of the current academic year to the relevant M.TECH/ME/M.Sc Engineering course.
• They must score a minimum of 60% marks in the qualifying exam BTech/BE or equivalent exam.
• They must have a valid GATE (General Aptitude Test in Engineering) score.

To apply for DRDO Scholarship Scheme online, applicants have to follow the steps mentioned below,

• Step 1 - Visit the official website of Recruitment and Assessment Centre, DRDO.
• Step 2 - Enter required details under section named 'Scholarship for female engineering student'.
• Step 3 - Choose either graduate or postgraduate as per applicability.
• Step 4 - Fill up the form and upload scanned copies of required certificates and complete application process. Take a printout of the form for future reference.
